KIN Privacy Notice

Effective date: October 14, 2026 | Version 1.0

KIN is a private membership network designed to help people discover more of what makes life interesting: new experiences, meaningful connections, shared interests and trusted support.

We respect the privacy of the people who explore, apply to and participate in KIN. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

When you visit our website, request membership or use KIN, we may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, phone number, city, state, community affiliation, interests, preferences, referral information and responses to membership questions.

If you become a member, we may also collect information you add to your profile, interests and Life List, introductions you request or accept, Moments you create or join, and requests you submit through Ask KIN.

We may collect technical information necessary to operate and protect our website and platform, including information used to detect spam, prevent abuse and maintain security.

Our website records simple usage events, such as which page was viewed or whether an application was started or completed. These records do not include your name or email, and the public website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Review and respond to membership inquiries and applications.
  • Communicate about membership, invitations and account access.
  • Operate and improve the KIN membership experience.
  • Help members discover relevant experiences, interests and connections.
  • Facilitate introductions and member-led activities.
  • Respond to requests submitted through Ask KIN.
  • Protect the security, integrity and reliability of our services.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not treat submitting a membership application as permission to receive unrelated promotional marketing.

3. How information may be shared

We use technology and service providers to operate our website, membership platform, communications and related systems. These providers may process personal information on our behalf for those purposes.

Certain information may be shared with other KIN members or relevant participating communities when necessary to deliver features you choose to use, subject to the applicable privacy settings, permissions and consent requirements.

For example, a member may choose to participate in a Moment or accept an introduction. KIN should not disclose private member information simply because another person requests it.

We do not sell member personal information to advertisers.

4. Membership applications

Information submitted through our public website may be securely transferred into KIN's membership administration platform for review.

Submitting an application does not automatically create a membership or guarantee acceptance.

We may contact applicants regarding their requests, application status and invitations.

5. Member choices

Members may be able to manage certain profile details, interests, introductions and participation preferences through the KIN platform.

You may also contact KIN to ask questions about personal information, request corrections or request deletion, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.

6. Security and retention

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, subject to applicable legal, operational and security requirements.

7. Children

KIN is intended for adults and is not designed for use by children under 18.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as KIN evolves. The published notice will identify its effective date and version.

If a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will address that requirement.
